In some states only a commercial real estate agent can handle designated commercial transactions, and an ethical realtor will let you know if they are qualified to represent you during the purchase or sale.
Commercial real estate refers to properties or buildings that will be used for offices, buildings, stores, storage or virtually anything that is not residential or agricultural. Commercial real estate may also have residences on it, but it will be zoned as commercial rather than as a residence.
