Ask the home builders you are considering if they have ever completed a project that is similar to the one you want completed. Try and get references from those projects and try to inspect the premises personally. Get pictures if you are unable to inspect the premises personally.
When interviewing home builders prior to awarding your project, ask each builder to give you a complete rundown of their safety, ethics and quality assurance practice.
Ask each home builder who bids on your job to provide you with copies of their licenses and registrations. Also ask how long each has been in business and how many employees their company has and if any of them are bonded.
